Christmas parties…Bubbles on a budget

What would a Christmas party be without Champagne? With what’s been going on in the world’s economy, ‘the cheaper option’ has become a by-word; however our clients are finding there are some great bubbly alternatives. We are being asked for a good sparkling wine to jolly up parties and now have a really strong selection, which can be less than half the price of your favourite bottle of Champagne. Prosecco is a great Italian sparkling wine, which Mackintosh’s has seen become a real favourite amongst its clients. England equally has some brilliant award winning bubbly such as Nyetimber Cuvée Classic 2001 West Sussex. This received a gold medal and the distinction of best in class. Not bad for a country renowned for its scrumpy and warm beer! For something a little different a pink sparkling wine always goes down well during the festive season. Or add a little Kirsh for a Kir Royal.
