Mackintosh's Caterers Halloween Ginger COokiesIngredients

7 oz of plain flour
¼ of a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
A pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of ground ginger
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
2 ½ oz of unsalted butter
3 oz of caster sugar
2 oz golden syrup
1 egg yolk – beaten

Method

  1. Add all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Rub the butter into this mixture until you have created crumbs.
  3. Add the syrup and egg yolk and mix together until you have formed a soft cookie dough.
  4. Roll out the dough into a flat surface and cut out the shapes of your cookies. Place on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the oven for 7 mins at 200°C. Remove from oven, and leave to cool on a wire rack before serving.
